Manchester United identify Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s alternative

Manchester United will turn their focus to Norwich City defender Max Aarons if their move for Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is unsuccessful.

United have been heavily linked with a move for Wan-Bissaka, 21, but had their first bid of £40m rejected last week with Palace valuing the youngster at  £60m.

According to Sky Sports sources, United are preparing for an improved second bid but have identified Aarons as a second option to fill their vacant right-back position if they cannot reach a deal with Palace.

Aarons, who was named the EFL Young Player of the Season, has also been linked with Tottenham and Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in recent months.
