A degree is important but it is not everything.
Am not going to deny that getting lower grades than you expected sucks. It’s disappointing to feel like you didn’t achieve a goal that you worked hard for.
But, at the same time I’m not going to let you wallow in your own self pity or drink the disappointment away. It’s not the end of the world.
Now, I know, I know, I know you’ve probably heard that a thousand times today and it doesn’t make you feel any better at all. But seriously, hear me out; missing out on the results you wanted, does not mean you’re condemned to fail everything and live under a bridge for the rest of your life.

You might not be on the path you expected, but you could be on a better one. You may not be getting to do the university degree wanted, but you could have dodged a mighty bullet. Remember that there are different routes to the same destination. So even if you have your heart set on a specific career, this just means you have to find another way to get there. It doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

Society has a certain order of how things are supposed to be, you’re meant to finish school then get an education then marriage. These Kenyan celebrities don’t have degrees but they have managed to make something out of nothing plus they are rich. The one thing we all want at the end of the day is a good amount of money to sustain our lifestyles. There are many ways to make it in life and sometimes education is not for everyone.
1. Huddah Munroe
Huddah says nothing about her degree or her educational background. All we know is that she came from nowhere and the next thing she has her own makeup line. She is clearly successful and no matter what people say about her, she probably has more money than some people will ever see.
The singer has managed to make it in life without really having an education. Rumors have it that her bae lives in Dubai and together they make ends meet.
3. Vera Sidiqa
Vera admitted that she doesn’t have a degree but she plans to go back to school. She is her own businesses such as flat tummy teabags and her own beauty parlour all in her name.
4. Willy Paul
Willy Paul begun a career in music and has since taken off in his field. Little is known about his education but we know he is a young baller.
Straight from Kibera this man has emerged as one of the most popular hip-hop artists in Kenya. He is proof that it doesn’t matter where you’re from you can get what you want as long as you chase your dreams.
These people are inspiring simply because they have proven that work hard pays off. You might have a degree but you’re lazy which obviously take you far, at the end of the day sheer determination is what you need to go far.
